At the heart of our business is a commitment to creating meaningful opportunities through food. Inspired by the concept of sobremesa, At The Table is about good food, shared time, and making room for everyone.

We are a social enterprise driven by the belief that good food can do good in the world. Profits from our deli will go directly into funding training, support, and employment opportunities for individuals who face significant barriers to work, specifically prison leavers and those who have experienced long-term unemployment.

We aim within our first year of trading to be in a position to provide practical training and mentorship opportunities with At The Table. Some trainees will join our team at the deli, receiving hands-on experience, practical skills training, and day-to-day mentorship within a supportive, real-world working environment.

In addition we will establish a mentorship programme where individuals will be matched with partner hospitality businesses across Sussex, with our team providing wraparound support to both the trainee and the business to ensure a smooth, sustainable placement. This includes ongoing mentorship, tailored training, and a focus on personal and professional development.
